FINAL PROJECT
Gabriela Kempter; Body Image; materials: masking tape, doors of the Fine Arts Center
Everyone has
their own idea what the perfect body type is, whether someone else or a made up
person. But the truth is your body itself is perfect. No matter what
imperfections or flaws you believe to have, you are a human being with
qualities no one else has which makes you one of a kind.
Precious.
With this
installation I hoped for the audience to be able to see themselves through
someone else’s body without judging.
Take a step
in someone else’s shoes today.
I have really enjoyed seeing these pieces and I think the idea behind them is really neat and a great topic. It definitely makes these doors more exciting and I want there to be cool designs or more art on the windows and doors.
ReplyDeleteI really liked these, when coming up on them it made me wonder who is the person behind the tape, it also makes me think of a police dead body
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy coming up to each of the different doors of the building and being greeted by the different people each day. I do think that the execution of the tape could have been a bit cleaner in some places.
ReplyDeleteI noticed something about these today and was going to tell you in class. The one on the walkway by the library was very creepy to me in a different way today as I was walking in. I saw the reflection in the display case of the theater department and it freaked me out.
