My statement as installed with the piece reads: If you’re reading this, this piece is meant for you. It is meant for anyone who is willing to interact with it and with this space. Offering is aimed to invite viewers to this space and allow them to take a piece of inspiration in the form of a handmade card. The cards feature inspirational words that are simply meant to be an uplifting moment in the reader’s day. I chose this spot not only because it my favorite spot in FAC, but because I see it as a sort of nook, a safe and inviting sanctuary. I tend to come to this space when I am alone, when I need to clear my mind, and to listen to the quiet noise. I intend for this to be a small instant in someone’s life that hopefully allows him or her to relax and experience a similar feeling that I experience while in this space.
