i think this works so well with the idea of the statement. Feeling stuck and reaching for what you need, but then so often people ignore the need and nothing gets done. The spot is perfect for this and the place itself was cold and in a stairwell i am unsure i ever used. So it places me into thinking beyond what I know .
Allison, Thanks! I'd never been in that staircase before this semester, but for some reason I used it one day and saw that spot--from the moment I saw it, I felt like I needed to do an installation in there, but I wasn't sure what until this project came up.
