Higher education is the number one reason for the zero that is constant on my bank statement. As a student I pay tuition. As an art student I pay studio fees. Having an incompetent advisor has pushed me back two semesters- which of course makes me pay for two extra semesters. Food is kinda necessary. Housing is absolutely necessary. Then, on top of all this, there is a thing called an application fee. If you want to do more, you're forced to pay $200 so someone can put your name on a list that says you might be interested in doing what ever the form says. This fee does not go to the overall cost of what you put the application in for, it is literally for writing your name on a form.This installation was a manifestation of my fustration with the money guzzling machine that is higher education.
