The objective of
this project was to create art representing the human body. I thought what
better way to do that than with an actual living person.
I have a good
friend that would let me use his body to paint on. Using oil paint (which wasn’t
the best to use) I painted on his flesh and made it look as though his flesh
was being ripped away. I did this to show the muscles that would be there under
the skin. I choose to do this in the places of the fore arm, shoulder, chest,
and neck area.
Soon after, the
paint had to be washed away due to toxins that were in the paint. Pictures were
taken before, during and after to record my work.
