Make a work (installation or performance or document) that is about the BODY.
Think about the various ways to celebrate, explore,
critique or use the body. Think about ways the body is adorned,
protected, contained or exposed. Think
about experiences the body goes through every day – and how you might transfer
or develop an experience for another (the “viewer”).
The body can be the material itself. A work can be made to house the body. A piece can be made as a record of the body’s
actions. “The body” in question can be
that of the artist or that of the viewer. "The record" can be made of the artist’s actions, or of the interaction
of the viewers with the piece (or a record doesn’t have to be made at
all). The work can be interactive,
either intentionally or unintentionally so – or passive, to be viewed.
