So, walking around, not only looking like a complete idiot, but also like you drank a little too much on Monday night is a lot harder than it sounds, especially when it’s for two straight days. People tend to stare as you walk by… a lot. I had a hard time walking to and from my house to class just because of all the stares and weird looks I was getting. It was a little easier when I was in FAC and amongst my peers.
The project taught me a lot about how it would feel to walk around not being “normal”. All my life I have been a semi-normal looking American Caucasian male, so I’ve never really felt out of place walking around in public. During my project I’ve gotten a little taste of what it feels like to be looked down upon or truly undesirable in the eyes of society for being different than the majority and it SUCKS!!
